I let it go for when she was younger, but since she turned 5 I've been adamant with her that it's time for her to greet people and talk with them appropriately. With both girls I am constantly reminding them to look at people in their eyes who talk to them, and to respond to questions. I let them know, firmly, that it's rude and unacceptable to do otherwise. Still have to remind them alot but it is getting much better. I can tell my brother enjoys having that moment of power when someone is awaiting his response. He'll stand there and let the question hang in the air. It's SO obnoxious and rude. Occasionally my 5 year old does it too and I am trying to break the habit.
Chryssa Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10729494779364219987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2688810272914203813.post-82180960612016990872017-08-20T17:57:53.206-07:002017-08-20T17:57:53.206-07:00Thank you for getting it about screaming into shee...Thank you for getting it about screaming into sheet cakes!!! I posted it to my FB wall and I'm so frustrated about folks saying "this is such an example of white women's privilege!" When it's so obvious to me that it's a JOKE that this is a good idea.

The misogyny has got to end!Abbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08856563547693346602noreply@blogger.com
